ARC Europe and its network of service providers have fully embraced the technology of telematics. ARC Europe's capabilities to locate, communicate and interface with in-car systems has let not only to increasing customer statisfaction, but more importantly, to substantial savings which in turn is opening doors to new areas of service.
ARC Europe operates a central Telematics Platform that can integrate data transmitted over any communication protocols by any types of in-car or nomadic devices. This central ARC telematics Platform makes the information available to the relevant ARC Europe service provider(s) for efficient delivery of the required service.
ARC Europe offers therefore localised Roadside Assistance service (bCall), but also extends this capability to enhanced quality through remote diagnostics. Additionally, ARC Europe also provides localised emergency services (eCall) and supports the European eSafety Initiative for the implementation of an eCall service across Europe.
Traffic Information
To date, ARC Europe consolidates real time traffic information from more than 15 countries and this number is growing constantly. Many of the ARC Europe service providers have extensive expertise in collecting and processing traffic information on their territory and are themselves leaders in their own markets.
The ARC Europe traffic information is not only used to enhance turn-by-tun navigation service or route planning, but also to support traffic management decisions.
This rapid development is at the forefront of emerging traffic information technology. Additionally, knowing traffic patterns or having the ability to forecast traffic conditions greatly enhances the customer's overall travel experience.
